Hi Blue Stars,
Wowww. This is insane. I cannot believe that my 5th single is out already. I feel like "Royalty" just came out, and that was already 9 months ago! Were on a roll! haha over the last 9 months, you guy have shown my original music SO much love and support and truly accepted me for my own original sound and who I am as an artist. So if you are reading this right now, that means you`re a supporter of my music and lyrics and sound and I can't thank you enough for being on this ride with me.
This song is about that moment when you make that instinct connection with someone, and even though that person is walking around blindly with no idea of who you are, you instantly can see the future with that person in it... and even though they don't know it yet, that connection is real and its right.
I also wrote this song as a metaphor to represent all those things in your life that you see in your mind and believe in your heart are gonna happen and that you believe in, but you`re just not exactly sure of how you`re gonna get there yet or who's gonna come into your life to help you do it... Its a metaphor that represents having faith and determination to create your own destiny even though your uncertain of what the future holds.
As most of you know, I write all of my songs to acoustic guitar. This song went through a lot of changes melodically as well as lyrically before becoming what it is today. Believe it or not, out of all the singles I`ve released so far, this one took me the longest to write. It was a process over a time frame of a few months because I was waiting for that instant click. After working and working and re-working it, That click finally did come, and Im really really happy with the final product. I sent my all acoustic rough to my amazing friend and producer Chantry who brought this song to life! Sonically, its different from the other singles I've released, which is one of the reasons I'm really stoked to release this song as my 5th original single.
